It really is all about what WE do.

At first it seems climate change is one of those thousand natural shocks to which flesh is heir.  This, in the largest  possible view, must surely be the truth.  The discoveries of all the Earth sciences point out that, over time, conditions on our planet have drastically changes many times.  The speed at which these changes occur is at the center of the discussion.  More and more it is beginning to look like human activity is accelerating the current rise in the Earth's  ambient average temperature; everybody say, "Well duh!"

What can individuals do?

  1. Purchase fewer items.
  2. Purchase items produced as close to home as possible.
  3. Drive less.
  4. Drive slower.
  5. Never buy things at overly light malls containing dozens of cubic acres of overly air-conditioned space.
  6. Never thoughtlessly buy into the notion pushed by advertising that you deserve, need, and simply must have certain things.  We are capable of that determination on our own.

In short, an individual can follow his/her own money to the cause of the problem.  It really is all about what we do.
